Chris is the co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Autopilot, a marketing automation company based in San Francisco. Every day Autopilot helps companies of all sizes and industries to automate their marketing, rekindle old customer relationships, reach new audiences, and grow their bottom line. Autopilot has grown rapidly to support hundreds of millions of contacts, raise $20.5M in funding, and launch the industry’s first self-service, multi-channel marketing solution.
Previously, Chris founded holiday accommodation website Stayz.com and sold it to Fairfax for $12 million, it was later sold to HomeAway for $220 million. Chris splits his time between San Francisco and Sydney, where he is building an Australian team of senior developers for Autopilot.
Chris has long seen the benefits of hiring young Australian programmers who have proven to be amongst the most skillful and reliable. Growing up in the Hunter, Chris has had a passion for improving access to technology and training in the region. Chris holds a masters degree in Software Engineering Management from UTS and is a former student of Dr. Sleap.
