The Biotechnology module is a unique opportunity to explore how engineering, chemistry and physics have provided key tools to understand the molecular underpinnings of biology. In this workshop we will discuss:
Molecular Biology
Participants will be exposed to a range of cost effective equipment, from home-made through to cutting edge and learn how to:
- Prepare, set up and manage classroom activities
- Prepare and run dye, DNA, RNA and protein samples
- Visualise, record and analyse results Troubleshoot
Genetic Engineering The second section of the program gives you the opportunity to hear about how to perform a practical exploration genetic modification of organisms.
