

Code Quest is Lockheed Martin’s annual computer programming competition where teams of 2-3 High School students each work together for 2.5 hours to solve problems by using JAVA, Python, VB.net, C, and/or C++ programming to complete the “quest.” The problem set consists of 15-20 challenging problems created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers.
2018 saw the first Australian Code Quest competition held in Canberra on the 18th August with 40 student participants from across Australia.
RDA Hunter’s ME Program facilitated participation by two Hunter High schools, St Philips Christian College Waratah and Newcastle Grammar School who entered four teams comprising a total of nine students.
Jonathan Oswald and Mackenzie Roddenby of St Philip’s Christian College took out 2nd place overall in the competition.
