RDA Hunter is proud of its support from Australia’s Department of Defence to help skill the workforce behind the Defence force through the ME Program.
The Department of Defence supports ME through its Schools Pathway Program which is part of the Industry Skilling Program Enhancement Initiative.
The Industry Skilling Program Enhancement (ISPE) initiative aims to:
- enhance work and career pathways into the defence industry sector
- expand the pool of skilled workers from which defence industry is able to recruit, and
- helps support specific skills within defence industry capability
The School Pathways Programs (SPPs) were established with the aim of addressing the skills shortage in defence industry by increasing the pool of young people ready to move from school into further education, apprenticeships, internships, scholarships and work/study combinations in defence industry.
The programs specifically seek to increase the number of students undertaking science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects, and provide career pathways for young people wanting to enter defence industry.
The Department of Defence’s work to prepare a future workforce is supported by the Workforce Behind the Defence Force campaign.
