The Lockheed Martin Code Quest computer programming competition returned in 2019 with teams from Newcastle Grammar School and St Philip’s Christian College – Newcastle Campus traveling to Canberra in August to participate in the competition.
Code Quest is a computer programming competition where teams of 2-3 students each work together for 2.5 hours to solve problems by using JAVA, Python, VB.net, C, and/or C++ programming to complete the “quest.” The problem set consists of 15-20 challenging problems created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers.
This is the second year running for the competition in Australia and the ME Program supporting the two teams from Newcastle Grammar School and three teams from St Philip’s Christian College – Newcastle to compete in the event.
The Hunter teams fared well in the 2019 competition, which was more challenging than last year, with Newcastle Grammar School coming 2nd overall in event and St Philip’s Christian College – Newcastle taking out 4th place.
A big well done to all Hunter students who participated in the event!
